Colorado and the rest of America will pause on May 26th to observe Memorial Day, the holiday that honors U.S. personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Popular retail chain stores throughout the state may either close or offer limited hours in observance of Memorial Day, and we've compiled a list of those stores for you here.

Major Colorado Retailers Closed on Memorial Day

The U.S. Sun reports all 16 of Colorado's Costco Warehouses will be closed on Memorial Day. The chain operates most of its locations around the Denver metro and one location in Gypsum, Colorado (near Eagle).

While we may not have a Costco in Grand Junction, we do have an excellent Natural Grocers location. The Natural Grocers chain will close all 168 of its stores for Memorial Day, so you won't be able to pick up any last-minute items here either. Natural Grocers in Grand Junction is at 2464 US-6 Unit 124, Grand Junction, CO 81505.

Another service that will not be available on May 26th will be FedEx or UPS shipping. Most express, freight, ground, and home delivery services from both carriers will be unavailable on Memorial Day, however, some FedEx Office locations may have modified hours.

Sam's Club will be open on Memorial Day, but will close at 6 p.m.
