Technically, Grand Junction's largest park is the 130-acre Las Colonias Park along the Colorado River. Another one of our jumbo-sized parks is the 110-acre Canyon View Park. A 1.5-mile lap around Canyon View is a great way to see many of the features on all sides of the Grand Valley.

The park is open from 5:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. and features baseball fields, basketball and tennis courts, and even a dog park. The park also has playgrounds, picnic shelters, restrooms, and walking trails.

Rocket Park is kind of like Grand Junction's Tomorrowland. This space-themed park features 2.7 acres of space with a playground, picnic tables and shelters, and bathrooms. It's located at Orchard Avenue and 26th and is a great place to play with any youngster who wants to be an astronaut one day.

Grand Junction's Park with a View

Grand Junction's Eagle Rim Park is one of the most popular in town thanks to the 9000-square-foot skatepark perched on a bluff overlooking the Colorado River. Earle Rim is a fun place to play within earshot of a concert at Las Colonias.

Eagle Rim offers grill use, picnic tables and shelters, bathrooms, a playground, the skate park, and horseshoe courts. The park connects to Grand Junction's Riverfront Trail, which you can follow all the way downtown
