It feels straight out of the Jetsons, but by now no doubt you've seen the videos of Walmart drones making deliveries to people. Granted, those videos are mostly staged, but they are actually doing it in real life from 18 stores across the Dallas and Bentonville, Arkansas areas, both near major headquarters for the retail giant.

However they've just announced more than 100 new stores will be adding the service in five new cities across the United States.

Everyone wants to know... is Denver and/or anywhere in Colorado among them?

Nope. Nada, zip, zilch. The reality is it will make it to Colorado eventually. It's hard to imagine this level of AI and automation doesn't just keep getting bigger and bigger over the course of the rest of our lives.

But for now, the five cities that will be getting the drone deliveries are Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Tampa and Orlando.

Believe it or not, they have already successfully delivered over 150,000 deliveries with drones since the service kicked off a few years ago during COVID. For small items, it's much, much faster to hook it to a drone and sent it than have an actual human in a car zig zag their way through traffic to get to your house.

Denver7 reports that the average drone delivery time from Walmart stores in their test cities have been in under 19 minutes. That's pretty impressive.
