When wine enthusiasts think of locations for finding a great winery, Colorado probably doesn't top their list. One from Northern Colorado, not the Western Slope, has made a list of 10 that America should visit.

Seriously: When you think about all the wineries on the Western Slope, especially in the Palisade area, having one from Loveland get noted, and not one of them, is pretty remarkable.
Sweet Heart Winery & Event Center is a popular wedding venue in Northern Colorado, with not only a riverside ceremony site, but a rustic, vaulted frame reception space.
Loveland's Sweet Heart Winery & Event Center Makes List of 10 Best
Sweet Heart Winery & Event Center dates back to 2008 when it was known as the small Sweetheart City Wines. Nearly two decades later, the winery has become a Loveland destination for not just Lovelanders, but thousands of visitors.
Sweet Heart Winery, which still has the original co-founder/winemaker on staff, gets their grapes from California and Colorado to create their wines in small batches. Their site not only has a tasting room, but an amazing campus for events.

Maybe that's what put Sweet Heart Winery on this list that The Scout Guide put out in January of 2025, noting 10 great wineries across America. Four of the wineries are in Virginia, two in California; North Carolina, Kentucky, and Tennessee round out the list.
