You may have heard the news that a new fast-food chain is moving into the neighborhood out in Denver. That's right, there's a new In-N-Out Burger opening up in Denver very soon, likely bringing with it more of that California "charm" that we Coloradans are famous for loving and wanting more of.

If you're not familiar with the Western burger chain, well you can count yourself lucky to have avoided the In-N-Out vs. Five Guys debate, because it is one of the dumbest fan rivalries since Team Edward and Team Jacob. To get you up to speed: In-N-Out is one of those trendy fast food joints that millennials like myself seem to be intermittently obsessed with. I can only assume it has something to do with YouTube since I don't really understand internet trends, and TikTok is for those Gen-Z kids who really need to get off my lawn.

If you live in a town that doesn't have an In-N-Out Burger or a Five Guys, yet has a sizeable population under the age of 40, you can probably expect one or the other in your near future. Once a town does get one, it becomes the preferred burger joint for people with lots of time on their hands, otherwise known as youths.

Now, I've tried burgers from both of the previously mentioned establishments, and don't get me wrong, it's not like they're peddling dog food, but I can't say that I've ever been overly impressed with their offerings, either. The best I can say is that it's marginally better than some of the bigger chains. I'm not saying I'm some kind of Guy Fierri-style burger connoisseur or anything, but there's nothing I've found in an In-N-Out Burger that makes me want it more than any other burger.

So, when the inevitable news of a new In-N-Out opening up in my area finally breaks, and everyone around me is falling all over themselves in joy, the only thing going through my mind will be, "...why couldn't we get a Whataburger?"
